The Reebok 4K Hockey Elbow Pads offer a great value and protection.

Reebok has used a two piece design on this pad.  The core protection is derived from the covered molded plastic shell. This offers protection from major impacts and makes up for the majority of the pad.  Reebok has done a nice job at molding the plastic to fit with the natural shape of the arm and elbow.  This results in an excellent fitting pad, it allows the arm to sit deep into the pad assuring the player that the pad will stay secure during play.  The forearm slash guard covers the top of the forearm wrapping across the arm.  This is good size guard and leaves little space on the arm unprotected.  

Reebok has used what they are calling their Kinetic Fit System (KFS) on this pad.  By using this system they have relocated the hinge connecting the two pieces relatively lower on the pad to better follow the natural body movement.  This results in better movement, however the bicep guard does not sit as high on the bicep.  Depending on play preference some will prefer this and some will not.  Reebok has given a thin plastic reinforcement in the bicep to offer additional protection.

Like other elbow pads in the Reebok line this pad features a three piece strap system.  The first strap is the anchor strap, this is the same first strap used on the 10K pad.  This strap is a nylon material and is about 1.5".  The middle strap is an elastic strap that is just under 1.5" wide and crosses just below the elbow joint.  Unlike the middle strap on the 10K, 8K and 6K this strap does not start from inside the pad, instead it wraps across the outside.  The top strap on the bicep protector is also a standard elastic about 1.5".  It would of been nice to see the neoprene strap on this pad, but that can be found on the 8K and 10K.
