Something to consider when buying a pair of ice skates is the level of support and comfort it offers, as some of the lower end skates provide foam padding which over time you will break in and it will generally shape to your ankle shape, however this process can be uncomfortable and take time. The added benefit of this is that during a skating session or a game if you feel the support isn’t quite right you can simply change it by pressing the pump button found on the side of the skate allowing instant change without having to remove the skate or reheat.
