NHL player returns to Braehead by Blue Cow Hockey

Braehead Clan announced today that the former national hockey league (NHL) player Jordan Krestanovich will once again be suiting up to wear his #10 jersey when he returns to Braehead for the 2011/2012 season.

The 6ft 1” Canadian previously joined the Braehead Clan late in the 2010/2011 season, playing 43 games and achieving 50 points (16 goals and 34 assists). He certainly made his mark on the home crowd and soon became a firm fan favourite.

Coach Richardson has stated how he is pleased to see Jordan return and had the following to say;

“I am really happy that Jordan has re-signed for a second season. When I brought him in mid-way through last season I just knew he would gel with the other guys and that he would go from strength to strength, and bring that extra offensive presence that we needed. I wanted him at the start of last season last year, but he had already committed elsewhere, and when the time came to make changes to the roster half way through the season I knew Jordan was the guy to bring in. He is fast and very skilled on the puck, he scored some excellent goals last season and 50 points out of 43 games is fantastic. If he plays in all 54 league games this season then I think he will be up there with the top points leaders in the league in 2011/2012.

Jordan appeared happy to be returning to the fold: “I am really happy to have re-signed for the Clan. My time at Braehead last season was so enjoyable and I am looking forward to returning and playing a full season for the club.”
