Local Scottish fans' favourite John Dolan has re-signed for Dundee Stars for the forthcoming season. John dolan joined Dundee Stars from nearby Dundee Tigers way back in the season 2003/2004 and played a big part of the team that won the British National League Play-off title in 2005.
By his own admission John made a quiet start to the Elite League last season but finished strongly and scored vital goals in the run-in to the play-offs.
Coach Dan Ceman is said to be happy to have John Dolan back on his roster and is confident he will be an even bigger success this term. He said, 'To get John's signiture on paper is very important for us. I thought it took some time for him to adapt to the speed and intensity of Elite League hockey last year but overall he played very well during the last few months of the season. He became a dependable player in all areas of the ice. There's no question John has the skills to be a key contributor offensively next season.'
Dolan added, 'I am looking forward to returning to the Dundee club next season. I enjoyed my first year in the Elite League and I felt that I got better as the season progressed. I am raring to go and am confident that we can improve our standing of last season. Coach Ceman is building a solid foundation at the cub and I'm pleased to be part of it.
